1121 Basmati Rice

The most valuable rice strain in the world. It is one of the most valuable grains and is only grown once a year on the Indo-Gangetic Plain beneath the Himalayan subranges. The lush alluvial soil, fresh and chilly air, and sweet water from the ranges all contribute to the grain's distinct features. It is a remarkably long rice variety with a distinct scent and subtle nutty flavour. Basmati rice cooks longer, lighter, and fluffier than regular white rice and does not clump together.
